THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS THE MID STATE TODAY,
DRAGGING A SURFACE BOUNDARY AND ENHANCING OUR CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING, ESPECIALLY ACROSS NORTHERN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD
BECOME SEVERE, WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND BEING THE PRIMARY
HAZARDS. AS A RESULT, THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS PLACED US IN A
SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY AS THE
STORM SYSTEM PASSES ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE, PULLING DEEP MOISTURE
INTO THE MID STATE AND ENHANCING ATMOSPHERIC LIFT NEEDED FOR
CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS PLACED A
SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER OVER THE PORTION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE
GENERALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40 FOR SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT, AND
ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE FOR SUNDAY.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
ACTIVATION OF SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGERS MAY BE NEEDED ANYTIME
BETWEEN THIS AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY, GIVEN THE PERSISTENT RISK OF
SEVERE WEATHER.
