AT 105 PM...THE AFTERNOON HEAT WAS PROVIDING ENOUGH INSTABILITY TO
INITIATE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE. ONE LINE OF STORMS
WAS LOCATED ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. ANOTHER LINE EXTENDED
FROM NEAR CARTHAGE IN SMITH COUNTY SOUTHWEST TO NEAR FRANKLIN AND
COLUMBIA. MOVEMENT WAS NORTH-NORTHEAST AT AROUND 15 MPH. WITH THE
STORMS...EXPECT BRIEF HEAVY, GUSTY WINDS, AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL.
THROUGH 3 PM...EXPECT THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO INCREASE IN
COVERAGE ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
