1.03 INCHES OF RAINFALL...WHICH IS 4.04 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. IT WAS
THE THIRD DRIEST MAY ON RECORD. HOWEVER...IT WAS ALSO A COMFORTABLE
MONTH WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 66.6
DEGREES...1 DEGREE BELOW NORMAL. THE FIRST 7 DAYS OF THE MONTH
CONTINUED THE TREND OF 8 DAYS OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AT THE
END OF APRIL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 90 DEGREES ON THE
12TH...WHILE THE COOLEST WAS 37 DEGREES...A RECORD LOW...ON THE
THIRD.
THE MIDSTATE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL MINOR SEVERE WEATHER EVENTS FOR
THE MONTH...WITH SOME WIND DAMAGE AND HAIL. THE DATES WERE THE
10TH...12TH...14TH...19TH AND 20TH.
CROSSVILLE AVERAGED 60.9 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH...WHICH IS 1.1
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE TOTAL RAINFALL WAS 2.19 INCHES...WHICH
IS 3.29 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 84 DEGREES
ON THE 12TH...WHILE THE COLDEST WAS 33 DEGREES ON THE THIRD AND
FOURTH.
CLARKSVILLE AVERAGED 63.8 DEGREES FOR THE MONTH AND TABULATED ONLY
