.NOW...
LATE THIS AFTERNOON...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE
OCCURRING MOSTLY OVER AND NEAR THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. THIS TREND
SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH 530 PM CDT. MOVEMENT WAS SOUTHWEST AT 5 TO 10
MPH.
BECAUSE OF THE SLOW MOVEMENT...MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR ANY
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AND HIGHWAYS IN HEAVIER SHOWERS OR
THUNDERSTORMS. SOME AREAS COULD RECEIVE ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF
RAINFALL IN WELL UNDER ONE HOUR.
IN ADDITION...ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED
OVER SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL PARTS OF THE MID STATE...ALONG AND
SOUTH OF A LINDEN THROUGH COLUMBIA LINE.
