THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE DENNIS WILL AFFECT THE MID STATE BEGINNING
AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...AND CONTINUING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. THE
SEVERE WEATHER THREATS WILL INCLUDE HEAVY RAINFALL...STRONG WIND
GUSTS...AND EVEN THE POTENTIAL FOR A FEW TORNADOES.
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL...FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES...WITH 3 INCH AMOUNTS
EXPECTED IN SOME AREAS...AND THE STRONGEST WIND GUSTS...AROUND 40 MPH
OR HIGHER...SHOULD BE CONFINED TO THE WEST THIRD OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS AND WIND GUSTS WILL BE MUCH LESS OVER EAST PORTIONS
OF THE MID STATE. THIS COULD CHANGE IF THE PATH OF THE STORM CHANGES
HOWEVER.
BECAUSE OF RAPID CHANGES IN WIND DIRECTION AND SPEED EXPECTED IN THE
LOWER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE...IF SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY DEVELOPS
...A FEW TORNADOES MAY ALSO OCCUR OVER WEST AND SOUTHWEST PARTS OF
THE MID STATE ON MONDAY AND EARLY MONDAY NIGHT.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
ACTIVATION OF SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGERS MAY BE NECESSARY
ON MONDAY AND EARLY MONDAY NIGHT.
