THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A CHANCE OF MIXED WINTRY PRECIPITATION
TO THE MID STATE ON THURSDAY. THE BEST CHANCE FOR SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR
ACROSS NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE MID STATE. A MIXTURE OF RAIN...
SLEET AND SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF NORTHERN
MIDDLE TN. ACROSS SOUTHERN AREAS...THE PRECIPITATION WILL FALL
PRIMARILY AS RAIN WITH PERHAPS SOME SLEET OR SNOW MIXING IN AT
TIMES.
AS FOR SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS NORTHWESTERN AREAS...UP TO 1 INCH ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
NORTHERN MIDDLE TN AND THE PLATEAU...AND ONLY MINOR ACCUMULATIONS
WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SOUTH.
THE PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION INTO LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS
ALL OF MIDDLE TN THURSDAY EVENING AS THE PRECIPITATION ENDS FROM WEST
TO EAST. AN ADDITIONAL 1 INCH OF SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE PLATEAU THURSDAY EVENING.
THOUGH THE AMOUNT AND EXACT TYPE OF PRECIPITATION REMAINS AN
UNCERTAINTY...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS ON TRAVEL
ACROSS PARTS OF THE REGION. PLEASE MONITOR UPDATED FORECASTS FOR THE
LATEST ON THIS POSSIBLE WINTER WEATHER EVENT.
