THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY FOR THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2
AM TO 9 AM CDT THURSDAY.
THE COMBINATION OF CLEAR SKIES AND CALM WINDS WILL PRODUCE STRONG
RADIATIONAL COOLING OVERNIGHT. GROUND MOISTURE LEFT OVER FROM THE
RAIN PRODUCED BY THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE KATRINA WILL MAKE
CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR DENSE FOG TO FORM.
A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...
