..INLAND TROPICAL STORM WIND WARNING IN EFFECT TONIGHT AND TUESDAY...
...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT TONIGHT AND TUESDAY...

EXTENSIVE RAIN AND RAINSHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS COVER MUCH OF
THE AREA AND ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LEAD CONVECTIVE ELEMENTS OF
HURRICANE KATRINA. RAINFALL RATES ARE CURRENTLY FROM ONE QUARTER TO
ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR. WINDS OVER THE AREA RANGE FROM 10 TO 20 MPH
OUT OF THE NORTHEAST. EXPECT RAINFALL TO CONTINUE OVER NIGHT AND
INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY. WIND SPEEDS WILL ALSO INCREASE
SLOWLY AS THE STORM CENTER APPROACHES THE AREA. HEAVIER STORMS WILL

LAWRENCE COUNTY REPORTED SEVERAL TREES DOWN DURING THE PAST HOUR.
HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS TO 40 TO 45 MPH ARE OCCURRING AND WILL
OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSES.
