...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO BENTON COUNTY FROM THE WEST...
THE GUST FRONT HAS ALREADY PASSED THROUGH THE BENTON COUNTY AREA
WITH WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH AT MANY LOCATIONS. NOW THE THUNDERSTORM
COMPLEX THAT SET OFF THE GUST FRONT HAS MOVED INTO THE WESTERN
EDGE OF BENTON COUNTY. FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES...
ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STRONG
STORMS.
A GENERAL WEAKENING TREND HAS EVOLVED OVER THE LAST 15 MINUTES AS
THE STORMS NEARED BENTON COUNTY. THE AIR MASS OVER NORTHERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE IS MUCH MORE STABLE AND NOT CONDUCIVE FOR STORMS TO
INTENSIFY IN.
