OF WESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
AT 115 PM...NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND FROM
MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO RUTHERFORD COUNTY AND EAST TO THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU. THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY DOWNPOURS...
FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND GUSTS TO 40 MILES AN HOUR AS THEY CONTINUE
TO MOVE TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 45 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR.
ALSO TO THE WEST...A LARGE AREA OF RAIN WITH EMBEDDED HEAVY SHOWERS
IS MOVING FROM WEST TENNESSEE AND IS MOVING ACROSS THE TENNESSEE
RIVER TO A MONTGOMERY TO DICKSON TO PERRY COUNTY LINE. OTHER SHOWERS
WERE OVER A LAWRENCE TO CANNON COUNTY LINE.
SOME OF THE HEAVIER DOWNPOURS CAN CAUSE PONDING OF WATER...ESPECIALLY
IN LOW LYING AREAS. REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN
DEPTH.
