.NOW...
TROPICAL DEPRESSION IVAN PRODUCES HIGH WIND AND HEAVY RAIN OVER
MIDDLE TENNESSEE

BETWEEN NOW AND 5 AM...YOU CAN EXPECT WINDY CONDITIONS TO
CONTINUE OVER SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PARTS OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM BYRDSTOWN...TO
MURFREESBORO...CENTERVILLE...AND WAYNESBORO. WIND GUSTS TO
BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH WILL BE COMMON...WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS
TO 50 MPH POSSIBLE. THERE HAVE BEEN SOME REPORTS OF TREES BLOWN
DOWN ACROSS THE AREA...AND MORE TREES WILL LIKELY COME DOWN AS
THE NIGHT WEARS ON. ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES WILL ALSO RESULT FROM
THE HIGH WINDS.

RAIN...OCCASIONALLY HEAVY...WILL CONTINUE OVER EASTERN
PARTS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...WHICH WILL PRODUCE LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING. SOME AREAS HAVE RECEIVED OVER 3 INCHES OF RAIN
OVERNIGHT...AND ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
DAWN. RAINFALL RATES OF BETWEEN ONE HALF AND ONE INCH AN

REMEMBER...NEVER CROSS AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. IT
IS VERY DIFFICULT TO JUDGE THE DEPTH AND SPEED OF THE WATER...
