...A RIVER FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE HARPETH RIVER...
AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: CHEATHAM...DAVIDSON...WILLIAMSON.
HARPETH RIVER NEAR KINGSTON SPRINGS...
* FLOOD STAGE: 15 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 13.4 FEET AND RISING AT 2 PM.
* RIVER FORECAST: FORECAST TO RISE AND CREST NEAR 18.5 FEET OVERNIGHT.
* FLOOD CATEGORY: THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MODERATE FLOODING.
AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS WILL OVERFLOW THE LEFT BANK OF THE RIVER AND
APPROACH PINNACLE HILL ROAD, AND EAST KINGSTON SPRINGS ROAD. SEVERAL SECONDARY
ROADS NEAR THE RIVER BECOME IMPASSIBLE. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST
OF 18.1 FEET WHICH OCCURRED APR 22, 2004.
HARPETH RIVER AT FRANKLIN...
* FLOOD STAGE: 21 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 19.7 FEET AND RISING AT 2 PM.
* RIVER FORECAST: FORECAST TO CREST NEAR 23.5 FT THIS EVENING.
* FLOOD CATEGORY: THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.
AT THESE LEVELS...FLOODING WILL AFFECT AREAS ALONG THE HARPETH RIVER FROM
FRANKLIN TO BELLEVUE. IN FRANKLIN, WATER WILL REACH THE CITY PARK, 4TH STREET,
AND PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 431. IN BELLEVUE, FLOOD WATERS WILL APPROACH OLD HARDING ROAD,
MORTON HILL ROAD, AND THE BEECH BEND AREA. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS
CREST OF 23.2 FEET WHICH OCCURRED SEPTEMBER 22, 2003.
PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE HARPETH RIVER AND THOSE WITH RIVER INTERESTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO
MONITOR WATER LEVELS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
