FOR THE BUFFALO RIVER...
AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: HUMPHREYS...PERRY.
BUFFALO RIVER NEAR LOBELVILLE...
* FLOOD STAGE: 10.0 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 5.8 FEET AND STEADY AT 1 AM WEDNESDAY.
* RIVER FORECAST: FORECAST TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE OF 10.0 FT THIS
AFTERNOON...AND CREST NEAR 12.0 FT THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
THE RIVER IS THEN EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE ON
FRIDAY.
* FLOOD CATEGORY: THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.
AT THESE LEVELS...AGRICULTURAL BOTTOMLAND FLOODS. WATER APPROACHES THE RIVER
ACCESS ROAD EAST OF LOBELVILLE. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST OF 12.3
FEET WHICH OCCURRED OCT 20 2004.
IF POSSIBLE...AVOID THE RIVER. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS AND
REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. TURN AROUND...DON'T
