THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE TN HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING FOR TONIGHT FOR THE PLATEAU.
MUCH COLDER ARCTIC AIR HAS INFILTRATED THE MID STATE OVERNIGHT.
TONIGHT THE PLATEAU WILL EXPERIENCE THEIR FIRST FREEZE OF THE
SEASON WITH THE MERCURY EXPECTED TO DIVE INTO THE UPPER 20S.
ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE MID STATE...TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 30 TO
35 DEGREE RANGE...WITH THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES IN WELL SHELTERED
AREAS.
SENSITIVE PLANTS REMAINING OUTDOORS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...WILL BE NEGATIVELY IMPACTED BY THESE FREEZING
TEMPERATURES...UNLESS PROPER PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN.
