THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
COFFEE COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
* UNTIL 1115 PM CDT
* AT 804 PM CDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORM
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL NORTHEAST OF MANCHESTER. RADAR
ESTIMATES SHOW THAT AS MUCH AS 2.4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN
THE PAST HOUR.
* THE FLOOD WARNING AFFECTS MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF NORTHEAST COFFEE
COUNTY.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
