THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
EASTERN VAN BUREN COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF SPENCER
* UNTIL 715 PM CDT
* AT 307 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED AT LEAST 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN
OVER THE LAST 3 HOURS. HARDEST HIT AREAS ARE NEAR BLEDSOE STATE FOREST
AND FALL CREEK FALLS STATE PARK. EXTENSIVE RAINFALL CONTINUES OVER
THE AREA WEST OF VAN BUREN COUNTY WITH AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF RAINFALL
LIKELY IN THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. FLOODING CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY
WORSEN.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGH
