THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
SHOWERS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED MONDAY AS
INCREASINGLY WARM...MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR MOVES INTO THE AREA.
AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WILL SERVE AS A FOCUS FOR RAIN AND
THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY. STRONG WINDS ALOFT
AND INCREASING INSTABILITY WILL BRING A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS. THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS.
HEAVY RAINFALL MAY ALSO BECOME A PROBLEM BY MONDAY NIGHT. STORM
TOTALS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES AND A FEW LOCALLY GREATER AMOUNTS ARE
EXPECTED OVER MIDDLE TENNESSEE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL OCCUR MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING. WATER
LEVELS ARE ALREADY HIGH FOLLOWING THE LAST HEAVY RAIN EVENT.
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF RIVER AND
CREEK FLOODING.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED MONDAY INTO TUESDAY DUE TO THE
POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND FLOODING.
