* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Barnstable MA, Dukes
      MA, Eastern Essex MA, Eastern Norfolk MA, Eastern Plymouth MA,
      Nantucket MA, Southern Bristol MA, Southern Plymouth MA,
      Suffolk MA, and Western Plymouth MA

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 210 miles east-northeast of Nantucket MA
    - 41.8N 66.0W
    - Storm Intensity 80 mph
    - Movement North or 355 degrees at 25 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Post-Tropical Storm Lee will pass offshore of southern New England
today but its impacts will extend far from the storm's center, mainly
affecting the Massachusetts coastline.

The following are the primary hazards of concern with Lee:

* Damaging wind - Tropical storm force winds, mainly in gusts, will
  continue near the coast today before subsiding early tonight. Gusts
  as high as 60 mph on Cape Cod and Nantucket will be capable of
  bringing down trees and large branches. These winds combined with
  high seas will also be very dangerous for mariners.

* Coastal Flooding - Minor flooding is possible along the eastern
  Massachusetts coast during the early afternoon high tide, with the
  greatest risk on the bay side of Cape Cod and northern side of
  Nantucket, including Nantucket Harbor. Debris may wash onto some
  coastal roadways from breaking waves.

* High Surf - Dangerous surf with large breaking waves will occur along
  the Massachusetts and Rhode Island coasts along with dangerous rip
  currents at ocean beaches. Significant beach erosion is also
  possible.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Potential impacts from the main wind event are now unfolding across
coastal Massachusetts. Remain well sheltered from hazardous wind having
possible limited impacts. If realized, these impacts include:
    - Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
    - Many large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or
      uprooted, but with greater numbers in places where trees are
      shallow rooted.
    - Hazardous driving conditions on bridges and other elevated
      roadways.
    - Scattered power and communications outages.

Elsewhere across Southern New England, little to no impact is
anticipated.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* EVACUATIONS:
Listen to local official for recommended preparedness actions.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Now is the time to stay inside and away from windows. Listen for
updates and be ready in case you lose electrical power. Keep a battery
powered radio, charged cell phone and flashlight handy.

Keep your cell phone charged and in power-saving mode. If you lose
power, use it sparingly and mainly for personal emergencies and
check-ins.
