...TROPICAL DEPRESSION 04W MOVING QUICKLY AWAY FROM KOROR...

.NEW INFORMATION...
The tropical storm watch for Koror has been cancelled.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions
for Koror in the Republic of Palau.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
The tropical storm watch for Koror is no longer in effect. Damaging
winds are no longer a possibility.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 700 PM ChST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 04W
was located near Latitude 6.9 degrees North and Longitude 132.5
degrees East. This is about 135 miles west of Koror. Tropical
Depression 04W is moving west at 13 mph with maximum sustained
winds of 35 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Tropical Depression 04W has failed to intensify into a tropical
storm, and continues to move away from Koror. There no longer
appears to be any possibility of the wind field expending to bring
damaging winds to Koror.

.NEXT UPDATE...
This is the last local statement that will be issued on TD 04W.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Residents can relax any preparations for damaging winds, which
are no longer expected.

...WIND INFORMATION...
Southwest winds are expected to be gusty through Monday at 15 to
25 mph in monsoon flow well southeast of TD 04W.

...STORM SURGE AND SURF INFORMATION...
Seas of 8 to 10 feet overnight should diminish to 7 to 9 feet on
Monday.

...OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
The threat of heavy rain appears to be rapidly diminishing, and
less than an inch of rain is expected tonight and Monday.
