**TROPICAL STORM WARNING DISCONTINUED FOR THE LOWER KEYS**

NEW INFORMATION

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 160 miles north-northwest of Key West FL
    - 26.6N 83.1W
    - Storm Intensity 75 mph
    - Movement North or 360 degrees at 14 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

At 800 PM EDT, Hurricane Elsa continues to move northward across the
eastern Gulf of Mexico and away from the Florida Keys. Although Elsa
was recently upgraded to a hurricane, there is no additional threat
from Elsa to any portion of the Florida Keys. Southerly wind gusts
around 30 mph will continue to gradually decrease through the evening.
Winds and seas will diminish overnight, with a return to near normal
rain and thunder chances on Wednesday.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
the Florida Keys.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

Motorists should be mindful of downed branches, and puddles containing
a mix of salt and rainwater.

This will be the last local statement issued by the National Weather
Service in Key West for Hurricane Elsa.
