...TROPICAL STORM 16W MOVING AWAY FROM ENEWETAK...

.NEW INFORMATION...
The Tropical Storm Watch for Enewetak is no longer in effect.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions
for people on Enewetak in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
The Tropical Storm Watch has been cancelled. Damaging winds are no
longer a threat to Enewetak.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm 16W was
located near Latitude 12.3 degrees North and Longitude 161.0 degrees
East...moving west at 17 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 40 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Tropical Storm 16W is 115 miles NW of Enewetak, and is moving west
away from the atoll.

.NEXT UPDATE...
This is the last local statement for Enewetak concerning Tropical
Storm 16W.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Storm-related threats have ended, but be cautious near reefs and
beaches until surf subsides.

...WIND INFORMATION...
South winds will shift to southeast early Sunday morning.

...STORM SURGE AND SURF INFORMATION...
Surf will be hazardous at 6 to 9 feet along southwest and south
facing reefs this evening. Surf should fall below hazardous levels
late tonight or early Sunday.

...RAINFALL...
Less than an inch of additional rain is expected overnight..
