**Tropical Storm Watch Cancelled**


NEW INFORMATION

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 210 miles south of Miami FL or about 250 miles
      south-southeast of Naples FL
    - 22.7N 80.6W
    - Storm Intensity 35 mph
    - Movement West or 280 degrees at 12 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Depression Fred is moving west-northwest over central Cuba
this evening and is forecast to move into the eastern Gulf of Mexico
by Saturday.

* Do not focus on the exact forecast track since hazards such as
  flooding rain, gusty winds, and tornadoes can extend well away
  from the center of the storm.

* The main threat from Fred to the local area continues to be the
  potential for localized flooding from excessive rainfall. A Flood
  Watch is in effect from tonight through Sunday night. Based on the
  current forecast from the National Hurricane Center, tropical storm
  force winds are forecast to remain over the Gulf waters. Although
  sustained tropical storm force winds are not expected, a few gusts
  to tropical storm force may be possible in thunderstorms within the
  outer rain bands.

* Isolated tornadoes will be possible as Fred moves through the
  eastern Gulf.

* Poor marine and beach conditions are also expected with a
  heightened risk for rip currents and elevated surf along the
  Atlantic coast.

* The main window for the above impacts will be through Saturday
  night with concerns for flooding lingering into Sunday.


POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* FLOODING RAIN:
Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across
South Florida. Remain well guarded against dangerous flood waters
having further impacts of significant potential.

* TORNADOES:
Additional impacts from tornadoes are still a concern across South
Florida. Remain well braced against tornado event having further
limited impact potential.

* WIND:
Little to no impacts are anticipated at this time across South Florida.

* SURGE:
Little to no impacts are anticipated at this time across South Florida.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

Be alert for flooded roads which could be compromised or littered
with debris. Avoid travel until water levels subside and roads have
been cleared. Do not drive through places where flood waters cover
the road. Turn around, don't drown!

Have multiple ways to receive Tornado Warnings if issued. Consider
nearby shelter options as you move about. Be ready to shelter quickly.
