SITUATION OVERVIEW

Beta is now a tropical depression with maximum sustained winds of 35mph.
It is expected to maintain a similar strength today while continuing to
drift toward the east-northeast through tonight, while the center stays
over land. The same general direction of motion is anticipated Wednesday
through Friday, though with some increase in forward speed. This will bring
Beta across extreme southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana on Wednesday
and Wednesday night.

While the wind threat associated with TD Beta has diminished, there is
still a significant flooding rain threat, with a Flash Flood Watch in
effect. Coastal flooding will also continue to be a concern. A tornado
or two cannot be ruled out today.

this time across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. Coastal flooding
is ongoing, however.

across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
