**ZETA CONTINUES TO MOVE QUICKLY NORTHEAST ACROSS NORTHEAST ALABAMA**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
- The Storm Surge Warning and Tropical Storm Warning have been
cancelled for Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, and Mobile
Coastal
- The Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled for Baldwin
Inland, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Escambia Coastal, Escambia
Inland, Monroe, Santa Rosa Coastal, Santa Rosa Inland, and
Wilcox
- The Storm Surge Warning has been cancelled for Mobile Central
* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
- A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Butler, Covington,
Crenshaw, Okaloosa Coastal, and Okaloosa Inland
* STORM INFORMATION:
- About 260 miles north-northeast of Fort Walton Beach FL or
about 250 miles north-northeast of Destin FL
- 34.0N 85.5W
- Storm Intensity 60 mph
- Movement Northeast or 40 degrees at 39 mph
SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------
Tropical Storm Zeta continues to weaken as it moves quickly northeast
across northeast Alabama. A few impacts continue, including damaging
wind gusts, mainly across south central Alabama, and dangerous surf
and rip currents along the Alabama and western Florida Panhandle coast.
The Storm Surge Warning across southwest Alabama has been cancelled, and
much of the Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled. The only counties
that remain under a Tropical Storm Warning are Butler, Covington, and
Crenshaw in Alabama, and Okaloosa in Florida.
POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* WIND:
Potential impacts from the main wind event are now unfolding across
south central Alabama. Remain well sheltered from hazardous wind having
additional limited impacts. If realized, these impacts include:
- Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored
mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
- Many large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or
uprooted, but with greater numbers in places where trees are
shallow rooted. Some fences and roadway signs blown over.
- A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban
or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on
bridges and other elevated roadways.
- Scattered power and communications outages.

* EVACUATIONS:
Do not enter evacuated areas until officials have given the all clear
to return.
* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
If you are prone to flooding or in an area under a storm surge watch
or warning, be prepared for the possibility of a quick and dramatic
rise in water levels.
