SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Eta around 100 miles west of Key West Florida at 10 am
will continue to move west-southwest farther away from the east central
Florida through this afternoon and tonight.

A tight pressure gradient between Eta and high pressure near the mid
Atlantic will continue windy conditions across east central Florida
into the late afternoon hours. Winds will be generally from the east
up to 20 to 25 mph this afternoon gusting at times to 35 mph. A Wind
Advisory is now in effect for all east central Florida counties except
Lake county.

Scattered to numerous showers will also move onshore through late
afternoon and bring gusty winds up to 45 to 50 mph with quick westard
moving showers. The highest coverage of showers is expected across
Brevard, Osceola, Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Lake counties.

Additional rainfall totals of one to two inches are expected through
this evening in areas where persistent showers bands move onshore. A
Flood Watch continues in effect for Saint Lucie and Martin county into
this evening. Heavy rainfall may cause localized flooding, especially
in poor drainage areas and areas with ongoing saturated soils.

Conditions will remain extremely hazardous over the Atlantic waters
with high surf along the coast. Moderate beach erosion may also develop
this afternoon near high tide, which will occur this afternoon between
200 and 230 PM. Large breaking waves of 5 to 7 feet and numerous strong
rip currents will result in life-threatening conditions in the surf zone,
so please don't enter the ocean today.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Sustained Tropical storm winds are not expected. A Wind Advisory is
in effect for all east central Florida counties except Lake county
through 7 pm. Sustained winds up to 20 to 25 mph are expected with
localized wind gusts to 35 to 40 mph, especially near the east coast.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Potential impacts from the flooding rain are still unfolding across
Saint Lucie and Martin counties. Remain well guarded against dangerous
flood waters having possible significant impacts.
If realized, these impacts include:
    - Moderate rainfall flooding may prompt several evacuations and
      rescues.
    - Rivers and tributaries may quickly become swollen with swifter
      currents and overspill their banks in a few places, especially
      in usually vulnerable spots. Small streams, creeks, canals, and
      ditches overflow.
    - Flood waters can enter some structures or weaken foundations.
      Several places may experience expanded areas of rapid
      inundation at underpasses, low-lying spots, and poor drainage
      areas. Some streets and parking lots take on moving water as
      storm drains and retention ponds overflow. Driving conditions
      become hazardous. Some road and bridge closures.

Elsewhere across East Central Florida, little to no impact is
anticipated.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* EVACUATIONS:
No evacuations are in effect.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
A Wind Advisory is in effect. Secure outdoor objects and use caution when
driving high profile vehicles near the coast.

Large breaking waves and a high risk of rip currents will make entering the
surf extremely hazardous. It is recommended to stay out of the water.
