**ARTHUR CONTINUES TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE NORTH CAROLINA OUTER BANKS**

* STORM INFORMATION:
- About 110 miles east-northeast of Buxton NC or about 190 miles
east-northeast of Morehead City NC
- 36.1N 73.9W
- Storm Intensity 50 mph
- Movement Northeast or 45 degrees at 16 mph
SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------
The center of Tropical Storm is currently about 90 miles east of Nags
Head. Arthur will continue move northeast away from the NC Outer Banks
this evening.
Minor inundation from storm surge (up to 2 feet AGL) is possible for
locations along the soundside Outer Banks. As the winds continue
northwest this evening, water levels will rise along the soundside
Outer Banks, especially south of Rodanthe, with minor inundation
possible for low-lying areas.
Dangerous marine conditions will continue, with seas building to 10 to
15 feet creating treacherous conditions for mariners. Swell from the
storm will continue to impact the area, keeping an elevated threat
for rip currents and large, powerful surf in place for the next
several days.
