* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 50 miles north of New York City NY or about 110 miles
      west-northwest of Montauk Point NY
    - 41.5N 74.0W
    - Storm Intensity 35 mph
    - Movement North or 5 degrees at 17 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Fay has weakened to a tropical depression over southeastern New York,
and will continue to weaken and move up the Hudson Riover valley this
afternoon.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:

Life-threatening rip currents are expected for all people entering
the surf zone this weekend.

Beach flooding and localized dune erosion along the Atlantic Ocean
beachfront are possible during the times of high tide tonight through
Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

If you enter the surf zone, always have a flotation device with
you and swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax
and float, and do not swim against the current. If able, swim in
a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face
the shore and yell or wave for help.
