Post-Tropical Cyclone Isaias Will No longer Impact Western New England

NEW INFORMATION

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 240 miles north of Torrington CT or about 200 miles north
      of Pittsfield MA
    - 45.3N 72.5W
    - Storm Intensity 45 mph
    - Movement North-northeast or 20 degrees at 38 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Post-Tropical Cyclone Isaias has now exited into southern Canada and
will no longer impact eastern NY or western New England.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time
across EASTERN NEW YORK AND ADJACENT WESTERN NEW ENGLAND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* EVACUATIONS:
No Evacuations

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

Do not go sightseeing within impacted communities. Sightseers
interfere with the emergency work of first responders.

When clearing out fallen trees, be careful with chainsaws and axes.
Always wear protective gear and keep others at a safe distance.
Leaning trees and those which have fallen on roofs or power lines can
be especially dangerous. If you are not in good health or unsure
about what you are doing, have someone with tree cutting experience
do the job. Never cut trees without a partner.
