.NEW INFORMATION...
None.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions
for people on Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan in the Northern Mariana
Islands.

.Watches/Warnings...
A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for the islands of
Agrihan, Pagan and Alamagan in the Northern Mariana Islands. Damaging
winds of 39 mph will subside this evening.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 1 PM ChST...the center of Typhoon Bualoi (22W) was located near
Latitude 17.5N...Longitude 144.7E. This was about 85 miles west-
southwest Pagan. Bualoi was moving northwest with maximum sustained
winds of 130 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Typhoon Bualoi continues to track steadily northwestward, and this
motion is expected to continue through Wednesday morning before
turning northward. Damaging winds will persist this afternoon before
subsiding in the evening.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain in safe shelter or sturdy structure away from the ocean until
weather conditions improve. Small craft should remain well secured.

Closely monitor advisories from the National Weather Service and
announcements by local emergency management offices for the latest
storm information.

.NEXT UPDATE...
The next local statement will be issued by the National Weather
Service in Tiyan around 9 PM...or sooner if conditions warrant.

...WINDS...
Damaging southeast to south winds of 35 to 45 mph will subside this
afternoon and fall to between 20 and 30 mph this evening.

...STORM SURGE AND SURF...
Coastal inundation of up to 2 feet is possible through this evening,
mainly along south, west and north facing reefs. Hazardous surf
exceeding 9 feet is likely along south, west and north facing
beaches through tonight.

...OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
Now that Bualoi is steadily moving away, significant rainfall is no
longer expected.
