.NEW INFORMATION...
Typhoon Warnings have been canceled for Tinian and Saipan.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides important information and
recommended actions for people in the Northern Marianas.

.Watches/Warnings...
A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Alamagan and Pagan
Islands. Damaging winds of 39 to 50 mph will continue through the
evening.

A Tropical Storm Warning continues for Agrihan Island. Damaging
winds of 39 to 50 mph will persist through this evening.

Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed
information about additional hazards.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 7 PM ChST...Super Typhoon Hagibis (20W) was centered near
LATITUDE 18.0N...LONGITUDE 142.1E. This was about 310 miles
northwest of Saipan. Hagibis was moving northwest at 15 mph with
maximum sustained winds of 155 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Super Typhoon Hagibis will continue away from the Marianas toward
the northwest through Wednesday. Conditions will improve across
the region as Hagibis pulls farther away.

.NEXT UPDATE...
The next local statement will be issued by the National Weather
Service in Tiyan around 3 AM.

...WINDS...
Damaging winds are no longer expected. However, south to southwest
winds of 25 to 35 mph with occasional gusts to 50 mph are
expected through tonight.

...STORM SURGE AND SURF...
Dangerous surf of 12 to 18 feet along south, west and north facing
reefs will persist through tonight, subsiding to hazardous levels
of 11 and 14 on Wednesday.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain in safe shelter or sturdy structure away from the ocean until
weather conditions improve. Damaging winds will continue through
early Wednesday morning.

Closely monitor advisories from the National Weather Service and
announcements by local emergency management offices for the latest
storm information.

...WINDS...
Damaging south winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 55 will
subside to between 30 to 35 mph overnight.

...STORM SURGE AND STORM TIDE...
Combined seas of 15 to 20 feet will subside to between 13 and 16
feet by Wednesday morning. Dangerous surf of 15 to 18 feet will
subside to between 12 and 15 feet Wednesday morning. 1 to 3 feet
of inundation remains possible along windward coasts tonight.

...OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
An additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is possible tonight.

subside to hazardous levels of 11 to 13 feet by Wednesday morning.
