Typhoon Warning in effect for Tinian, Saipan, Alamagan and Pagan
Islands in the CNMI.

Tropical Storm Watch now in effect for Guam.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions for
people in Mariana Islands.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A Typhoon Warning is in effect for Saipan, Tinian, Alamagan and Pagan
Islands in the CNMI. Typhoon conditions, including destructive winds
of 74 mph or more, are expected within 24 hours, around Monday
afternoon.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Rota, and Agrihan Islands.
Tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39 mph or
more, are expected within 24 hours, around Monday afternoon.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Guam. Tropical Storm
conditions, including damaging winds of 39 mph or more, are possible
within 24 to 30 hours.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 7 PM ChST...the center of Tropical Storm Hagibis (20W) was
located near Latitude 14.3 degrees North and Longitude 153.3 degrees
East, which was about 510 miles east of Saipan. Hagibis was moving
west at 20 mph with maximum winds of 60 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Tropical Storm Hagibis is expected to continue intensifying as it
approaches the Marianas. It is anticipated to pass through the
Marianas just north of Saipan Monday night as a typhoon.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Folks in the Marianas should be preparing for the onset of damaging
winds according to their typhoon preparedness plans. Inspect your
shelters. Make arrangements for taking care of elders and pets. Make
sure to have a supply of water, food, and fresh batteries at home.
Mariners should safely secure your craft.

If you live on a boat, make final preparations for securing your
craft before leaving it. Small craft should return to port.

Closely monitor advisories from the National Weather Service and
announcements by local emergency management offices for the latest
storm information.

Service in Tiyan by 3 AM early Monday morning.

As Hagibis approaches the Marianas Monday, north winds will increase
in the afternoon, to between 25 and 35 mph. Tropical storm force
north to northwest winds of 50 to 60 mph are expected Monday night.
Winds will shift to southwest Tuesday morning begin to subside
Tuesday night into Wednesday.

...STORM SURGE AND STORM TIDE...
Seas will build as winds increase on Monday. Combined seas are
expected to build to between 15 and 22 feet Monday night and into
Tuesday morning. Dangerous surf of 15 to 20 feet is expected Monday
night and Tuesday. Inundation of 3 to 4 feet is possible along
windward coasts.

Heavy rainfall will begin Monday with 5 and 8 inches of rain
possible through Tuesday.

expected to build to between 8 and 12 feet late Monday, increasing
to between 10 and 15 feet Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Dangerous surf of up to 15 feet is expected Monday night and Tuesday.
Up to 2 feet of inundation is possible along windward coasts.

expected to reach to between 10 and 15 feet Monday night and Tuesday.
Surf will build to near dangerous levels of 10 to 14 feet. Around 1
foot of inundation is possible along windward coasts Tuesday.
