...TROPICAL STORM KAMMURI MOVING AWAY FROM THE MARIANAS...

.NEW INFORMATION...
Effective at 1100 AM...Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan are no longer
in a Tropical Storm Warning.

.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides important information and
recommended actions for people in Select locations within Guam
and the Northern Marianas.

.Watches/Warnings...
Effective at 1100 AM...Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan are no longer
in a Tropical Storm Warning.

Tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 mph or greater,
are no longer expected.

Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed
information about additional hazards.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for Guam and the Northern
Marianas. Please listen closely for any flood warnings that might
be issued.

.STORM INFORMATION...
At 11 AM ChST...the center of Tropical Storm Kammuri (29W) was
located near Latitude 11.6N...Longitude 142.5E. This was About
200 miles southwest OF Guam. Storm Motion was West. Storm
Intensity was 60 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
Tropical Storm Kammuri will continue to move away from the
Marianas. Kammuri will strengthen the next few days and could
become a typhoon later this evening. Bands of heavy rain will
move across the Marianas today.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Damaging winds are no longer expected...but gusty east to
southeast winds will continue through the day. Seas and surf will
be dangerous today...small craft should remain in port until
conditions improve.

southeast winds between 20 to 30 mph will continue through the
day. Seas and surf will be hazardous today...small craft should
remain in port until conditions improve.

...Storm surge and storm tide...
Coastal inundation of 1 to 2 feet is still possible through this
afternoon. Combined seas of 17 to 20 feet and dangerous surf of
15 to 25 feet will continue through this afternoon then subside
this evening. Surf will remain hazardous, shifting from eastern
shores to the south and southwest through the weekend.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area. See
