* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All tropical storm watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 50 miles southeast of Hattiesburg MS
    - 30.8N 88.8W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement Northwest or 315 degrees at 14 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Gordon made landfall near the Mississippi/Alabama
Gulf Coast shortly after 10 PM CDT last night. The official track of
Tropical Storm Gordon shifted slightly to the right earlier tonight,
but the system is still expected to continue to the northwest through
Wednesday and gradually weaken to a Tropical Depression. Heavy rainfall
of 3 to 6 inches with locally higher amounts is expected to result in
flash flooding across parts of central and southeast Mississippi,
northeast Louisiana, and southeast Arkansas. In addition, winds
occasionally gusting to tropical storm force are not out of the question
across much of southeastern Mississippi through mid morning with
scattered power outages possible. Brief tornadoes will also be possible
across much of Mississippi Wednesday.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Little to no additional wind impacts expected.

    - Occasional gusty winds, possibly up to 40 mph, may take well into
      today to dissipate.
    - If you have an emergency dial 9 1 1.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across
the Mississippi Pine Belt today, but may take until later this
afternoon to fully develop. Remain well guarded against dangerous
flood waters having further impacts of moderate potential.

* TORNADOES:
Additional impacts from tornadoes are still a concern across CENTRAL
MISSISSIPPI...NORTHEAST LOUISIANA...AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS,
but will probably take until later this morning into the afternoon
hours to develop. Remain well braced against tornado event having
further limited impact potential.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

Be alert for any lingering wind gusts which could take down weakened
trees and/or power lines.

Have multiple ways to receive Tornado Warnings if issued. Consider
nearby shelter options as you move about. Be ready to shelter quickly.
