**GORDON CONTINUES TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE FLORIDA PENINSULA**

NEW INFORMATION

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 210 miles west-northwest of Miami FL or about 110 miles
      west-northwest of Naples FL
    - 26.7N 83.4W
    - Storm Intensity 60 mph
    - Movement West-northwest or 300 degrees at 17 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

OVERVIEW...Tropical Storm Gordon continues to move quickly west-
northwest away from Florida this evening. The storm is forecast to
continue moving away from Florida into the Gulf of Mexico overnight.
The impacts to South Florida will continue to diminish as Gordon moves
further away.

Lingering rainbands will continue across the Gulf waters and clipping
the Collier County coast at times. A lingering potential will remain for
heavy rainfall in this area through the late evening hours. Isolated
tornadoes and waterspouts remain possible within these bands.

Some minor flooding may be experienced in vulnerable areas along the
Collier County coast between Marco Island and Chokoloskee with high
tide this evening.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* FLOODING RAIN:
Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across South
Florida. Remain well guarded against locally hazardous flood waters
having further impacts of limited potential.

* TORNADOES:
Additional impacts from tornadoes are still a concern across Collier,
Mainland Monroe, and the adjacent waters. Remain well braced against
tornado event having further limited impact potential.

Elsewhere across SOUTH FLORIDA, little to no impact is anticipated.

* SURGE:
Additional impacts from storm surge are still a concern across Collier
County coast tonight. Remain well away from locally hazardous surge
having possible limited impacts.

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
South Florida.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Be alert for flooded roads which could be compromised or littered with
debris. Avoid travel until water levels subside and roads have been
cleared. Do not drive through places where flood waters cover the road.
Turn around, don't drown!
