**GUSTY WINDS WITH ROUGH SURF WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - The Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled for Allendale,
      Beaufort, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester,
      Hampton, Inland Colleton, and Inland Jasper

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Charleston, Inland
      Berkeley, and Tidal Berkeley

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 200 miles north of Charleston SC or about 260 miles
      north-northeast of Savannah GA
    - 35.7N 80.0W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement Northeast or 50 degrees at 23 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Michael is expected to gradually weaken as it tracks
northeastward across North Carolina today. Windy conditions will
continue across southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina through
this afternoon. Dangerous surf conditions including large breaking
waves and dangerous rip currents will remain possible through early
this evening.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Protect against hazardous wind having possible limited impacts across
southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia. Potential impacts in
this area include:
    - Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored
      mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
    - Large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or uprooted,
      but with greater numbers in places where trees are shallow
      rooted.
    - Some roads impassable due to debris, particularly within urban
      or heavily wooded locations. Hazardous driving conditions on
      bridges and other elevated roadways, especially for high
      profile vehicles.
    - Isolated to scattered power and communications outages.

Elsewhere across southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia,
little to no impact is anticipated.

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
Life-threatening rip currents and very rough surf are expected at area
beaches. Some beach erosion is anticipated.
