**IRMA CONTINUES TO SLOWLY WEAKEN WHILE MOVING OVER SOUTHWESTERN
GEORGIA**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - The Storm Surge Warning has been cancelled for Coastal
      Hillsborough and Coastal Manatee

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A Storm Surge Warning is in effect for Coastal Citrus, Coastal
      Hernando, Coastal Levy, Coastal Pasco, and Pinellas

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 170 miles north-northwest of Cedar Key FL
    - 31.5N 84.0W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement North-northwest or 340 degrees at 17 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Irma continues to weaken as it moves northwest
across southern Georgia. Conditions continue to gradually improve
over West Central and Southwest Florida.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* SURGE:
Potential impacts from the main surge event are now unfolding across
coastal West Central Florida north of Clearwater. Remain well away
from life-threatening  surge having possible significant impacts. If
realized, these impacts include:
    - Areas of inundation with storm surge flooding accentuated by
      waves. Damage to several buildings, mainly near the coast.
    - Sections of near-shore escape routes and secondary roads become
      weakened or washed out, especially in usually vulnerable low
      spots.
    - Major beach erosion with heavy surf breaching dunes. Strong and
      numerous rip currents.
    - Moderate damage to marinas, docks, boardwalks, and piers.
      Several small craft broken away from moorings, especially in
      unprotected anchorages.

Potential impacts from the main surge event are also now unfolding
across coastal West Central and Southwest Florida south of
Clearwater. Remain well away from locally hazardous surge having
possible limited impacts.

Elsewhere across West Central and Southwest Florida, little to no
impact is anticipated.

* EVACUATIONS:

Do not return to evacuated areas until it is safe.
Listen for the all-clear signal from local authorities.
