SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Philippe was located just northwest of Key West Florida
late this evening. The system is forecast to move northeast through
extreme South Florida during the overnight hours, and into the Atlantic
waters on Sunday. The primary impact from this storm will continue to
be heavy rainfall, with isolated storm total amounts over 8 inches
possible through the early morning hours on Sunday. Sustained winds of
30 to 35 mph with gusts above 50 mph will be possible across southeast
Florida, particularly in coastal sections of Miami-Dade County
overnight. Isolated tornadoes will remain possible through the
early morning hours especially along the east coast areas.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* FLOODING RAIN:
Prepare for dangerous rainfall flooding having possible significant
impacts across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier, and Mainland
Monroe Counties Remain well guarded against dangerous flood waters
having possible significant impacts. If realized, these impacts include:
    - Moderate rainfall flooding may prompt several evacuations and
      rescues.
    - Ditches and canals may quickly become swollen with swift
      currents and overspill their banks in a few places, especially
      in usually vulnerable spots.
    - Flood waters can enter some structures or weaken foundations.
      Several places may experience expanded areas of rapid
      inundation at underpasses, low-lying spots, and poor drainage
      areas. Some streets and parking lots take on moving water as
      storm drains and retention ponds overflow. Driving conditions
      become hazardous. Some road and bridge closures.

Remain well guarded against locally hazardous flood waters in Glades
and Hendry Counties having possible limited impacts.

* TORNADOES:
Potential impacts from tornadoes are still unfolding across the
eastern and southern areas of South Florida. Remain well braced
against a tornado event having additional limited impacts.
If realized, these impacts include:
    - The occurrence of isolated tornadoes can hinder the execution
      of emergency plans during tropical events.
    - A few places may experience tornado damage, along with power
      and communications disruptions.
    - Locations could realize roofs peeled off buildings, mobile
      homes pushed off foundations or overturned, large tree tops and
      branches snapped off, shallow-rooted trees knocked over, moving
      vehicles blown off roads, and small boats pulled from moorings.

* WIND:
Potential impacts from the main wind event are now unfolding across
far south and eastern Florida. Remain well sheltered from hazardous
wind having possible limited impacts. If realized, these impacts
include:
    - Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored
      mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
    - Many large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or
      uprooted, but with greater numbers in places where trees are
      shallow rooted. Some fences and roadway signs blown over.
    - A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban
      or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on
      bridges and other elevated roadways.
    - Scattered power and communications outages.

Elsewhere across SOUTH FLORIDA, little to no impact is anticipated.

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
There is a high risk of rip currents at the Atlantic Beaches through
tonight

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* EVACUATIONS:

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Now is the time to remain safely sheltered from the storm. Stay
