**TROPICAL STORM HARVEY SLOWLY SHIFTING TO THE NORTHEAST**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Calhoun

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 150 miles east of Port Aransas TX or about 110 miles east
      of Port Oconnor TX
    - 28.2N 94.6W
    - Storm Intensity 45 mph
    - Movement East-northeast or 60 degrees at 3 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Harvey is now moving slowly east-northeast this
morning. The track of Harvey is expected shift more northeastward later
today and tonight with the center of Harvey expected to be just
offshore of the middle and upper Texas coast through tonight. Harvey
will continue to impact Calhoun County and adjacent coastal waters
through today. The primary concern with Harvey will be tropical storm
force winds and wind gusts, mainly over the bays and Gulf waters north
of Port Aransas.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Potential impacts from the main wind event are now unfolding across
Calhoun County and the adjacent Coastal Waters north of Port Aransas.
Remain well sheltered from hazardous wind having possible impacts. If
realized, these impacts include:
    - Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored
      mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.
    - Many large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or
      uprooted, but with greater numbers in places where trees are
      shallow rooted. Some fences and roadway signs blown over.
    - A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban
      or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on
      bridges and other elevated roadways.
    - Scattered power and communications outages.

Elsewhere across SOUTH TEXAS, little to no impact is anticipated.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* EVACUATIONS:

Do not return to evacuated areas until it is safe. Listen for the all-
clear signal from local authorities.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Continue to keep your cell phone well charged for as long as possible.
If you lose power, use it more sparingly and mainly for personal
emergencies and check-ins. Do not overload communications systems with
idle chatter.

Do not be a thrill seeker or risk your life for senseless photos or
videos. Be wise and avoid becoming another statistic.
