    - About 140 miles north of Port Mansfield TX
    - 28.5N 97.2W
    - Storm Intensity 100 mph
    - Movement Northwest or 325 degrees at 6 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

As of 4AM CDT, Hurricane Harvey was moving slowly inland over South
Texas. Center was about 30 miles southwest of Victoria. Though Harvey
is still a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 100
miles per hour, significant impacts are coming to an end over Deep
South Texas. Therefore, all tropical wind and storm surge warnings have
been discontinued in the latest advisory from the National Hurricane
Center.

Outer rainbands may still traverse Kenedy and Brooks counties over the
next 12 hours or so, bringing brief periods of moderate rain and very
isolated wind gusts to tropical storm force.

Unless conditions or the forecast change significantly, this will be
the last Hurricane Local Statement from WFO Brownsville for Harvey.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
The Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas.

* SURGE:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
The Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas.

* WIND:
Little to no additional wind impacts expected.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* EVACUATIONS:

Do not return to evacuated areas until it is safe. Listen for the all-
clear signal from local authorities.


* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

Beaches on South Padre Island are expected to re-open today (Saturday),
but beach-goers are urged to be cautious.

Check-in with your emergency points of contact. Let them know of your
status and well-being. Keep conversations short and to the point. Do
not tie up communications systems.

Be a good neighbor and check on those living next to you. Be
neighborly and lend a helping hand.

Do not attempt to return to evacuated areas until local authorities
give the All-Clear signal.

Do not go up on your roof until the rain and strong winds have
subsided. Ladders can be slippery in the rain and unexpected wind gusts
can blow you off of the roof. Do not risk bodily harm in an attempt to
reduce property damage.
