SITUATION OVERVIEW

HURRICANE MATTHEW WILL MOVE ACROSS THE BAHAMAS TONIGHT AND
THURSDAY, AND IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY NEAR THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA
BY THURSDAY NIGHT. MATTHEW IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN AT A CATEGORY THREE
OR STRONGER INTENSITY WHILE IT MOVES THROUGH THE BAHAMAS AND
APPROACHES THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

POTENTIAL IMPACTS IN THIS AREA INCLUDE:
    - UNSECURED LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS BECOME DANGEROUS PROJECTILES.
    - SCATTERED POWER AND COMMUNICATIONS OUTAGES.

ELSEWHERE ACROSS FLORIDA KEYS, LITTLE TO NO IMPACT IS ANTICIPATED.

* SURGE:
POTENTIAL IMPACTS IN THIS AREA INCLUDE:
    - LOCALIZED INUNDATION OF 1-2 FEET WITH STORM SURGE FLOODING
      MAINLY ALONG IMMEDIATE SHORELINES AND IN LOW-LYING SPOTS.
