TO A TYPHOON WATCH.

THIS LOCAL STATEMENT PROVIDES INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
FOR PEOPLE AND MARINE INTERESTS IN GUAM...THE NORTHERN MARIANAS...
FANANU IN CHUUK STATE AND SURROUNDING WATERS.

A TYPHOON WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR TINIAN...SAIPAN AND THEIR
COASTAL WATERS. TYPHOON CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN 48 HOURS.

A TYPHOON WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR GUAM...ROTA AND COASTAL
WATERS. TYPHOON CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN 48 HOURS.

A TROPICAL STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR FANANU IN CHUUK
STATE. TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN 24 HOURS.

AT 1 PM CHST...TYPHOON DOLPHIN WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 10.2N...
LONGITUDE 155.8E. THIS WAS ABOUT 275 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF
FANANU AND ABOUT 780 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF GUAM. DOLPHIN WAS
MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST AT 8 MPH WITH MAXIMUM WINDS OF 75 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
TYPHOON DOLPHIN HAS SHIFTED TOWARDS THE WEST-NORTHWEST. THE
CURRENT FORECAST TRACK KEEPS DOLPHIN NORTH OF FANANU AND OTHER
ATOLLS IN THE HALL ISLANDS IN CHUUK STATE. TROPICAL STORM FORCE
WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO KEEP JUST NORTH OF THESE ISLANDS TONIGHT AND
THURSDAY MORNING. ANY DEVIATION OF THE TRACK TO THE SOUTH MAY
BRING THESE WINDS ACROSS THE HALL ISLANDS. DOLPHIN IS EXPECTED TO
STRENGTHEN AS IT MAINTAINS THIS WEST-NORTHWEST MOTION THE NEXT
COUPLE DAYS ON A COURSE TOWARDS GUAM AND THE SOUTHERN MARIANAS.
