A TROPICAL STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR CHARLESTON AND BERKELEY
COUNTIES. A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTH
CAROLINA COASTAL WATERS FROM EDISTO BEACH TO SOUTH SANTEE RIVER OUT
TO 20 NM.

THE MAIN IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST OF
CHARLESTON COUNTY AND ACROSS ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS. ON AREA
BEACHES...HIGH SURF OF 4 TO 6 FEET...BEACH EROSION AND DANGEROUS RIP
CURRENTS WILL CONTINUE. SHALLOW SALT WATER FLOODING IS ALSO EXPECTED
AROUND THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE...ESPECIALLY IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON.
ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA COASTAL WATERS NORTH OF EDISTO BEACH...
HAZARDOUS SEAS AND WINDS WILL CONTINUE.

THE RISK FOR LONG-DURATION TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS WILL GENERALLY
REMAIN CONFINED TO THE COASTAL WATERS JUST OFF CHARLESTON COUNTY.
THE RISK FOR TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS OVER LAND WILL MAINLY OCCUR
THIS AFTERNOON AND AGAIN SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS THE CENTER OF ANA
MOVES CLOSER TO THE COAST. WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE CAN CREATE
HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ON ELEVATED SURFACES SUCH AS BRIDGES
AND OVERPASSES...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.

FOR THE COASTLINE SOUTH OF EDISTO BEACH TO THE MOUTH OF THE ALTAMAHA
RIVER IN GEORGIA...A HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS WILL CONTINUE TODAY.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
HIGH SURF, MINOR BEACH EROSION AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS WILL
CONTINUE ALONG THE CHARLESTON COUNTY COAST. BREAKING WAVES OF 4 TO
6 FEET WILL OCCUR ON CHARLESTON COUNTY BEACHES AND WILL
RESULT IN DANGEROUS CONDITIONS IN THE SURF ZONE. POCKETS OF BEACH
EROSION ARE ALSO LIKELY...ESPECIALLY ALONG EAST AND NORTHEAST FACING
BEACHES. DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ARE ALSO EXPECTED FROM SOUTH OF EDISTO
BEACH TO THE MOUTH OF THE ALTAMAHA RIVER.

* WIND:
PREPARE FOR HAZARDOUS WIND HAVING POSSIBLE LIMITED IMPACTS ACROSS
CHARLESTON AND BERKELEY COUNTIES. POTENTIAL IMPACTS IN THIS AREA INCLUDE:
    - DAMAGE TO PORCHES, AWNINGS, CARPORTS, SHEDS, AND UNSECURED
      LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS.

    - HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ON
      BRIDGES AND OTHER ELEVATED ROADWAYS.
    - SCATTERED POWER AND COMMUNICATIONS OUTAGES.

ELSEWHERE ACROSS SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA,
LITTLE TO NO IMPACT IS ANTICIPATED.

* SURGE:
PREPARE FOR LOCALLY HAZARDOUS SURGE HAVING POSSIBLE LIMITED IMPACTS
ACROSS CHARLESTON AND TIDAL BERKELEY COUNTIES. POTENTIAL IMPACTS IN THIS AREA
INCLUDE:
    - LOCALIZED INUNDATION WITH STORM SURGE FLOODING MAINLY ALONG
      IMMEDIATE SHORELINES AND IN LOW-LYING SPOTS.
    - SECTIONS OF NEAR-SHORE ROADS AND PARKING LOTS BECOME OVERSPREAD
      WITH SURGE WATER. DRIVING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS IN PLACES WHERE
      SURGE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
    - BEACH EROSION, HEAVY SURF AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS.

ELSEWHERE ACROSS SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA,
LITTLE TO NO IMPACT IS ANTICIPATED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
WHEN SECURING YOUR PROPERTY, OUTSIDE PREPARATIONS SHOULD BE CONDUCTED
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE CONDITIONS DETERIORATE. THE ONSET OF
STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN CAN CAUSE CERTAIN PREPAREDNESS
ACTIVITIES TO BECOME UNSAFE.
