NEAR LATITUDE 30.6N...LONGITUDE 79.1W. THIS WAS ABOUT 150 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF CHARLESTON SC...OR ABOUT 150 MILES SOUTHEAST
OF SAVANNAH GA. STORM MOTION WAS N OR 360 DEGREES AT 8 MPH. STORM
INTENSITY WAS 70 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR IS FORECAST TO STRENGTHEN TO A HURRICANE AS
IT CONTINUES TO MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH OVERNIGHT. THE HURRICANE
WILL THEN TURN TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AND IS EXPECTED TO PASS JUST
EAST OF THE COASTAL WATERS THURSDAY. AS A RESULT...TROPICAL STORM
FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS PARTS OF THE COASTAL WATERS LATE
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. THE HURRICANE WILL THEN ACCELERATE AWAY FROM
THE REGION THURSDAY NIGHT.
