STORM INTENSITY WAS 60 MPH.

TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR WILL MOVE NORTH AND IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN
TO A CATEGORY 1 HURRICANE AS IT APPROACHES THE SOUTHEAST COAST OF
NORTH CAROLINA THURSDAY AFTERNOON. THE CENTER OF ARTHUR IS
EXPECTED TO PASS OFFSHORE OF THE CAPE FEAR REGION THURSDAY

BEACHES...SOME MARSHES AND ESTUARIES...AND PORTIONS OF THE
INTER-COASTAL WATER-WAY. HIGH TIDE THURSDAY NIGHT...AS ARTHUR
PASSES OFF THE CAPE FEAR COAST...WILL OCCUR AROUND MIDNIGHT.

STRONG BEACH RUN-UP WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR
BEACH GOERS...ESPECIALLY DURING HIGH TIDE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
