AT 8 PM...TROPICAL STORM ANDREA WAS MOVING NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS
NORTHERN FLORIDA. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DROPPED TO 50 MPH
AND SLOW WEAKENING IS EXPECTED AS ANDREA MOVES ACROSS GEORGIA
TONIGHT AND THE EASTERN CAROLINAS ON FRIDAY.

THE IMPACT FROM COMBINED STORM SURGE AND TIDE IS EXPECTED TO BE
MINIMAL. ACCORDING TO THE LATEST SURGE INFORMATION FROM THE
NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER...A SURGE OF ONE TO TWO FEET IS EXPECTED
SOUTH OF CAPE FEAR ALONG THE NORTHEASTERN COAST OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
HEAVY RAIN FALLING AROUND THE 7 AM HIGH TIDE FRIDAY MORNING COULD
HELP PRODUCE SOME MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IN AREAS THAT DRAIN TO
TIDAL CREEKS OR THE OCEAN.

...INLAND FLOODING...
A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE AREA. THREE TO FIVE INCHES
OF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO FALL ACROSS THE AREA WITH THE PASSAGE OF
TROPICAL STORM ANDREA TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. SOILS ARE VERY WET...AND
MUCH OF THIS RAIN WILL BECOME RUNOFF WITH A DEVELOPING FLOODING
THREAT.

A TORNADO THREAT WILL EXIST LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING EAST
OF THE TRACK TROPICAL STORM ANDREA TAKES ACROSS THE AREA.

...COASTAL HAZARDS...
MINOR TO PERHAPS MODERATE BEACH EROSION IS EXPECTED DUE TO TIDES
AND HIGH SURF LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT
EROSION WILL OCCUR AROUND THE THE 7 AM HIGH TIDE FRIDAY MORNING.
STRONG RIP CURRENTS ARE EXPECTED AND BEACH GOERS SHOULD PLAN TO
