WHILE MAINTAINING ITS STRENGTH...

DEBBY HAS SPEED UP THE EASTWARD MOTION WHICH WILL PUSH UP THE
ESTIMATED TIME OF LANDFALL TO TOMORROW AFTERNOON NEAR CEDAR KEY.
DEBBY ALSO IS MAINTAINING HER STRENGTH AND WILL CONTINUE TO
THREATEN INTERESTS IN THE FLORIDA BIG BEND AND EASTERN FLORIDA
PANHANDLE.

TROPICAL STORM DEBBY CONTINUES TO MOVE VERY SLOWLY OFF TO THE
EAST ACROSS THE NORTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO. THIS SLOW MOVEMENT
OF THE SYSTEM WILL LEAD TO A LONG DURATION OF HEAVY RAIN AND

THE COAST AND UP STREAM IN COASTAL RIVERS.

THIS SITUATION IS A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY.

SIGNIFICANT INLAND FLOODING DUE TO INTENSE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED
FROM RAIN BANDS ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL STORM DEBBY. ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE...BRINGING STORM
TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS AS HIGH AS 25 TO 30 INCHES. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL CAUSE LIFE THREATENING INLAND
FLOODING...ESPECIALLY FOR VULNERABLE LOCATIONS IN URBANIZED AREAS
AS WELL AS NEAR RIVERS...CREEKS AND STREAMS.

HOMES AND BUSINESSES RIGHT ALONG THE SHORE.
