FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM ISAAC...LOCATED ABOUT 145 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE MOUTH OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 1120 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE
ISLANDS HAVE CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION. ENVIRONMENTAL
CONDITIONS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30
PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS
AS THE LOW MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD TO NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15
MPH.

A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED NEAR THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING
DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR SOME GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WAVE DURING
THE NEXT FEW DAYS.  THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT... OF
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES
WESTWARD ABOUT 15 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
