FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM ISAAC...LOCATED ABOUT 110 MILES WEST OF KEY WEST FLORIDA.

A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 875 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING AN AREA OF CONCENTRATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BECOME
LESS FAVORABLE BY LATER TODAY...AND THE POTENTIAL FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS BECOMING LESS LIKELY. THIS LOW HAS A
MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING
THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD TO NORTHWESTWARD
AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANY A TROPICAL WAVE
MOVING OFF OF THE WEST COAST OF AFRICA.  ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
ARE CONDUCIVE FOR SOME GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10
PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS
AS IT MOVES GENERALLY WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
