AT 11 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ISAAC WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 20.1N...LONGITUDE 74.6W. THIS WAS ABOUT 550 MILES
EAST-SOUTHEAST OF KEY WEST FL...OR ABOUT 520 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
MARATHON FLORIDA. STORM MOTION WAS NW OR 315 DEGREES AT 17 MPH. STORM
INTENSITY WAS 60 MPH.

TROPICAL STORM ISAAC IS VERY NEAR THE EASTERN TIP OF CUBA LATE THIS
MORNING...AND WILL MOVE ALONG OR VERY NEAR THE NORTH COAST OF
EASTERN CUBA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. ISAAC WILL BE
APPROACHING THE STRAITS OF FLORIDA EARLY SUNDAY. TROPICAL STORM
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE FLORIDA KEYS SUNDAY
MORNING...WITH HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

HIGH SCHOOL ON FLAGLER AVENUE...SUGARLOAF SCHOOL ON UPPER SUGARLOAF
KEY...STANLEY SWITLIK SCHOOL IN MARATHON...AND CORAL SHORES HIGH
SCHOOL IN ISLAMORADA WILL BE OPEN AS OF 200 PM TODAY. IF YOU LIVE IN A
MOBILE HOME...ON A BOAT...IN A LOW LYING AREA...OR ARE HOMELESS...YOU

TRAVEL ALONG THE OVERSEAS HIGHWAY SHOULD REMAIN SAFE THROUGH THIS
EVENING...BECOMING UNSAFE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AS TROPICAL STORM
ISAAC APPROACHES. SUSTAINED TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED
TO BEGIN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING ACROSS THE FLORIDA KEYS. HURRICANE
FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED EARLY SUNDAY EVENING MAINLY IN THE VICINITY
OF WHERE ISAAC CROSSES THE ISLAND CHAIN. MAXIMUM WINDS ARE FORECAST
TO BE IN THE 55 TO 75 MPH RANGE WITH GUSTS TO 90 MPH. DAMAGING WINDS
ARE LIKELY.

POORLY ANCHORED AND OLDER MOBILE HOMES MAY BE DAMAGED OR MOVED OFF
FOUNDATION BLOCKS. OLDER HOMES AND BUILDINGS WILL HAVE MINOR DAMAGE
TO SHINGLES...GUTTERS AND SIDING.

LOOSE OUTDOOR ITEMS WILL BECOME AIRBORNE...CAUSING POSSIBLE
INJURY AND DAMAGE...ESPECIALLY TO UNPROTECTED WINDOWS.

SOME POWER AND COMMUNICATIONS LINES WILL BE KNOCKED DOWN BY
FALLING TREES OR LARGE BRANCHES...WITH SCATTERED POWER...PHONE
AND NETWORK OUTAGES AFFECTING A FEW ISLANDS LASTING MANY HOURS.

NUMEROUS LARGE TREE LIMBS WILL BE SNAPPED...WITH A FEW TREES
UPROOTED. A FEW STREETS MAY BE TEMPORARILY BLOCKED.

EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE STRAITS OF FLORIDA...HAWK CHANNEL...AND
FLORIDA BAY SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING...AND THE EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO SUNDAY AFTERNOON. HURRICANE CONDITIONS
ARE POSSIBLE LATER IN THE DAY SUNDAY. NEARSHORE WATERS WILL BE
EXTREMELY ROUGH...AND SEAS IN DEEP WATER BEYOND THE REEF AND IN THE
GULF OF MEXICO WILL BUILD UP TO 15 OR 20 FEET.

IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE THE EXACT HEIGHTS OF STORM TIDES
FOR SPECIFIC LOCATIONS WITHIN THE FORECAST AREA. GIVEN THE LATEST
FORECAST...EXPECT 1 TO 3 FEET ABOVE MEAN SEA LEVEL...WITH HIGHER
AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 FEET IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

RAINFALL TOTALS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE FLORIDA
KEYS. EXPECT FLOODING AND STANDING WATER IN LOW LYING AND POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS FROM SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
