MID ATLANTIC STATES...

FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT ACROSS THE GULF STATES INTO GEORGIA.
FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD WATCHES...WARNINGS...AND ADVISORIES REMAIN
IN EFFECT ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST NORTHWARD INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC
STATES. COASTAL FLOOD WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FROM
EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA NORTHWARD TO DELAWARE. GALE...HIGH WIND AND
STORM WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FROM EASTERN NORTH
CAROLINA NORTHWARD TO DELAWARE.

AT 400 PM EST...2100 UTC...THE CENTER OF REMNANTS OF IDA WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 32.2 NORTH...AND LONGITUDE 80.0 WEST...OR 30
MILES...50 KM...SOUTH OF CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA.

A NEW LOW PRESSURE CENTER IS CURRENTLY FORMING ABOUT 25 NM
SOUTHEAST OF WILMINGTON NORTH CAROLINA...WHICH IS DEEPENING AND
WILL BECOME THE DOMINANT AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LATER TODAY. THIS
NEW LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL TRACK SLOWLY EAST NORTHEASTWARD
OFFSHORE THE CAROLINAS THURSDAY NIGHT...BEFORE DROPPING SOUTHWARD
ON FRIDAY. STRONG WINDS OF 35 TO 45 MPH HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE
COASTAL AREAS OF NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA TO SOUTHEASTERN
VIRGINIA. THE HIGHEST WIND GUST WAS AT CHESAPEAKE LIGHT WHERE A
WIND GUST TO 55 MPH OCCURRED AT 12 PM WEDNESDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH...70 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. THE MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1003 MB...29.62 INCHES.
